Big Fat NYE Cheers!
While I haven’t any plans for this evening, I do wish you all a happy and safe New Year’s Eve! What a crazy year it’s been. I can’t even wrap my head around it. I’m not one for resolutions, but I am hopeful for the future. Maybe it’s the extra sleep I’ve been getting during my time off, but I feel better already!
Please be sure to have a designated (SOBER) driver OR call a taxi! For real, you guys, c’mon! Don’t tangle with being buzzed or getting into a car with someone who isn’t 100% sober! For fun, you could buy one of those keychain breathalizers! I saw them at BevMo the other day. If I wasn’t broke I would have one now. Ha!
Take lots of pictures of your lovely selves and have a blast for me, will ya? Thanks. You’re all so amazing and special to me. You just have no idea! We’ve all had a rough go of it lately and I just know things will get better soon. It may take some blood, sweat and tears, but we’re a tough bunch and plenty used to that, eh?!
I welcome you to share your hopes/dreams/wishes here instead of a resolution. Positive resolutions are welcome, too.
I for one will be paying far more attention to my stress (wish there was a breathalizer for that!) and doing more self-care. I have to keep things more even-keeled I think. The stress just has a way of accumulating and then I get panicked and can’t breathe. No more! Life is too precious to let it’s daily minutae get to you. I will tell those I love how I feel about them. I will fight for the underdog (always) and stand up for myself, too!

I’ll be off in a few hours to our regularly-scheduled New Year’s party at our friends’ house. They always have a huge open-house type party with a jam session and spaghetti with four different sauces, and all kinds of cool folks hanging out.
We’ll probably get back and go to bed around four or five in the morning.

I wish that things really do get better. All things. I am bummed that I missed ringing in the New Year with you guys like we have done for I don’t know how many now. But hey, there’s always next year right!!? I love you my friend and thank you for every single bright light you have brought to my days!
